Summary
We are looking to appoint a School Administrator (with Finance Responsibilities) for 30 Hours per Week, on a Term Time plus 3 week basis to join our team at Archbishop Sentamu Academy.
This role will provide administrative support to the Support Services Manager and school, supporting the smooth operation of day-to-day non-teaching functions across the Academy. Working under the direction of the Support Services Manager / Principal, the postholder will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of administrative processes that underpin site services, finance, compliance and resource coordination.
The role includes a broad range of responsibilities, including finance duties, such as processing orders, monitoring budgets, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting procurement procedures. The postholder will also manage general administrative tasks, maintain records and systems (both digital and paper-based), and assist in the production and distribution of internal communications and documentation. Resource preparation will form part of the role, supporting the operational readiness of the school environment.
In addition, the postholder will assist with the ordering of supplies for teaching departments, ensuring the accurate receipt of goods and timely processing of invoices on behalf of department heads. Excellent organisational skills, discretion, and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school office.
