Summary

Seasonal HGV 2 Drivers ~ Late Crew

Location: Margate
⏰ Hours: 4 on, 4 off (13.30 - 20.00)
Pay Rate: £16.11 per hour (Enhanced rates on weekends & Bank Holidays)
Contract Duration: 31st May - September

We are seeking skilled and reliable HGV 2 Drivers/loaders to join our Seasonal Coastal Team for the summer season. This role involves operating HGV vehicles, leading a small team, and ensuring Thanet's promenades & beaches remain clean and welcoming.

Start date 31st May - end August, shift times @ 13:30 - 20:00 -4days on/4 days off until 31st August. Then weekends only from 1st September - 28th September **

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Drive HGV vehicles and other required vehicles
✔️ Act as Team Leader, overseeing the work of team members
✔️ Empty bins, collect sacks, bulky items, and other waste
✔️ Perform routine maintenance checks and complete vehicle defect reports
✔️ Ensure vehicles are kept clean and in good working condition
✔️ Operate vehicles in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and legal requirements
✔️ Load and transport waste to transfer stations or designated sites
✔️ Work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence
Valid CPC licence
Knowledge of the Thanet area (preferred)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong understanding of highway safety and working time regulations
Willingness to complete a theory test on Domestic & EU Working Time Directive and Highway Code knowledge & a PASS mark is essential.
