Are you someone who’s calm, confident, and enjoys good conversation? We’re looking for a thoughtful and proactive Care Assistant in Bridgwater to support a bright, tech-loving gentleman living with a brain injury. He’s passionate about motorbikes, gadgets, engineering, and always has a radio or podcast on in the background.

This is a unique opportunity to build a long-term, respectful working relationship with someone who values their independence but needs a bit of help staying on track and reconnecting with the outside world.

At Nurslink Homecare, we don’t just support people at home—we help them thrive. We’re proud to create safe, empowering spaces for both our clients and our team. If you're looking for a role where you’ll be valued and supported, this might be the one.

You’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this Care Assistant role, as all of our clients are supported in their own homes out in the community.

About the Role:

This package is supporting a man with a traumatic brain injury following a motorbike accident. He’s highly intelligent, very independent, and enjoys deep dives into engineering, tech, and current events. While self-sufficient in many areas, he benefits from someone to help keep things structured, positive, and forward-moving. He’s also hoping to find a Care Assistant who would be open to joining him on short breaks within the UK or even abroad in the future.

As a Care Assistant, your role will include:

· Supporting community access and activities (gym sessions, errands, social clubs)

· Encouraging healthy routines and supporting emotional wellbeing

· Helping with household admin (reminders for appointments, bills, etc.)

· Creating a calm, structured environment while respecting personal space

· Navigating occasional emotional dysregulation and strong opinions with empathy

· Being comfortable around smoking and a home with a senior cat (no access to lounge)

This Care Assistant role suits someone who’s grounded, culturally aware, and comfortable working in cluttered or unconventional environments. Confidence and patience are key.
