Are you a compassionate, experienced leader in Health & Social Care, looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the smooth and effective running of our residential care home, with a particular focus on high-quality dementia care.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a caring, safe, and efficient environment.
Supervise and support staff to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
Work in a hands-on care role alongside the team, leading by example.
Assume full managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.
Ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of local authorities, social services, and fire safety regulations.
Assist in the recruitment and retention of staff, maintaining appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
Take responsibility for the home's medication system, including ordering, administration, recording, and disposal.
Help plan and implement training and development programs for all staff members.
Requirements:
A minimum of NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Proven experience in providing care for individuals with dementia.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and commitment to continuous improvement.
