Hours: Full time: 39.75 per week (Mon-Thurs 7:30-4:30; Friday 7:30-1.15pm)
Contract: Temp to perm
Exciting new opportunity to join a friendly, family run business in Heathfield making bespoke furniture. Every day is different with new challenges and designs.
The role will include:
* Operate sewing machines to construct and repair upholstery items with precision.
* Working within a team but having individual responsibility for quality of work.
* Working on various designs and jobs using industrial sewing machines.
* Select appropriate fabrics and materials based on project specifications.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve sewing machine issues to maintain workflow efficiency.
*Responsibility for crafting high-quality upholstered products with precision and attention to detail.
Ideally you will have:
* Methodical and organized approach to work/tasks
* Able to work as part of a team in order to meet targets and objectives
* Be able to work well under pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of quality
* A high level of attention to detail
* Experience of using industrial Sewing machines
