Summary
Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Salary: £37,510 per annum
Location: Base in Stafford with travel across Staffordshire and Shropshire
Hours: 37 hours per week, fixed term initially for 4 months
We currently have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to join us on a full-time temporary basis for initially 4 months. We're looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.
The Role
As one of our Health and Safety Officers, you will play a vital role in shaping a positive safety culture across our organisation. You will provide expert advice, lead audits and inspections, manage incident reporting, and deliver essential training across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on health & safety legislation and best practices
Plan and conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Investigate incidents and liaise with regulatory bodies
Deliver in-house health and fire safety training
Analyse data and produce reports for senior management
Support the development of safe systems of work and risk manuals
Skills and experience required:
NEBOSH qualifications (General Certificate essential; Fire/Construction desirable)
TechIOSH membership (E)
Experience in health & safety in high-risk sectors (e.g. care, housing, construction)
Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
Proficiency in MS Office and safety data portals
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
This role requires the successful candidate to attend in person at construction work sites for work related activity
