Summary

Our well established client who are an electronics manufacturer based in Melksham are looking for a Production Technician on a permanent and full time basis assisting with manufacturing and production duties.

The company are a manufacturer of specialist technical & electrical equipment.

Job Description/Purpose

To safely manufacture company designed & developed electronic hardware to meet customer, regulatory and specification requirements, as a member of the Production Team.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing products in accordance with standard practices, build instructions and safety requirements, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
• Using production equipment and tooling correctly and appropriately, ensuring equipment is safe and fit for use and reporting any issues to the Production Manager.
• Ensuring that all manufacturing activities are conducted in a safe manner, including the use of PPE where applicable.
• Working to QMS processes, procedures and work instructions to ensure product conformity.
• Employing a "Right First Time" approach to all work activity and ensuring that quality standards are maintained throughout the build process.

Knowledge / Experience Required

• Demonstrable working experience in a similar role.
• Able to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable with soldering, wiring, and crimping.

Ideal

• Qualification in Electronics Engineering would be advantageous.

• Always act within the Company Rules, Policies, Procedures, and any other statutory requirements.
