Summary

The GREAT Britain & Northern Ireland (GREAT) campaign is the UK’s flagship international promotion campaign. Established in 2011, the objective of the GREAT programme is to drive economic growth across the entire nation, by encouraging an international audience to visit, study, trade, invest, live and work in the UK. Used by 22 government departments and arm-length bodies (ALBs), the campaign promotes the best of the UK and is currently live in 164 countries.

GREAT HQ delivers three main strands of work:

  • The overall governance of the cross-government GREAT programme. The objective of the GREAT programme is to drive economic growth across the entire nation, by encouraging an international audience to visit, study, trade, invest, live and work in the UK. The central governance of the GREAT programme by GREAT HQ aims to ensure the programme is delivered strategically and efficiently.
  • The implementation and management of the GREAT brand, to ensure a high-quality, consistent and professional delivery across 22 government departments and over 145 countries in HMG's international network.

Delivering campaigns which improve international perceptions of the UK and drive higher consideration of UK opportunities in tourism, trade, investment and education, by running both physical events and paid media campaigns in key markets across the world, in partnership with private sector companies and high profile individuals.

This is a fast paced and exciting role, working at the centre of government, but alongside partners outside HMG, to deliver creative and innovative campaigns that drive consideration to visit, study, trade, invest, live and work in the UK; reaching tens of millions of people across the globe.

Do you want to work in one of the most exciting roles in government? This role will support both the planning and delivery of GREAT HQs centrally led campaigns, events and brand activations both domestically and internationally, and ownership of day to day relationships with campaign partners, private sector partners, prominent individuals, and creative and media agencies to support these campaigns. No one day is ever the same - you could be working with the Premier League to organise a live screening in the US, or producing a digital campaign featuring innovative British businesses.

Over the past 24 months, GREAT HQ has delivered campaigns in India, Australia, China and the US, and activated at major events such as COP26 and the World Cup in Qatar. You can find out more about what we do here: https://greatcampaign.com/

This role will report to a Senior Campaigns and Partnerships Manager (SEO).
