This is an exciting opportunity to shape risk appetite, support governance, and influence strategy across a diverse commercial property portfolio without direct line management responsibilities. - Oversee aggregation monitoring and reinsurance exposures
- Provide technical guidance on property underwriting risks (e.g., flood, crime)
- Work closely with underwriting teams to advise on risk selection, pricing, and governance
- Support senior underwriters with property-related issues
- Monitor and drive profitability across the property book (currently £40M GWP, £30B exposure)
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels – from senior leadership to new underwriters

What We’re Looking For:

- Extensive experience in commercial property underwriting
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial property and combined products
- Confident working across underwriting, claims, and delegated authority teams
- Comfortable working autonomously in a non-people management role
- Ready to influence underwriting strategy and lead on technical property issues
