Job Title: Interim Technical Manager - Property & Maintenance Services

Pay rate: £27.95 per hour PAYE
The role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to manage a team of technical and surveying staff in delivering high-quality property management services for the housing stock and transitional support service for all aspects of the Councils varied asset portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of cyclical maintenance, component replacements, and repair contracts efficiently and cost-effectively
Oversee regulatory works for HHSRS, Decent Homes, and legal disrepair claims
Provide expert technical advice to internal and external clients
Procure and manage contracts effectively
Support transitional projects related to the commercial property portfolio
Build and maintain strong working relationships with building managers, project officers, and clients to deliver professional, customer-focused asset management services
What the client is looking for:
Degree in Building Surveying or related field (Architecture, Quantity Surveying) with 6+ years post-qualification experience and/or RICS, CIOB, or equivalent membership
NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
Extensive experience in formulating, implementing, and delivering investment programs
Proven expertise in managing multi-disciplinary housing and commercial projects
Strong technical knowledge of Fire Safety, Asbestos, and Building Services (Gas, Mechanical & Electrical)
Experience managing and developing teams in a similar environment
Significant experience in planning and conducting building surveys and projects in compliance with CDM regulations and Health & Safety law
Familiar with Decent Homes Standards/HHSRS
Expertise in RICS guidance for building surveying
Strong understanding of building design, construction, planning, regulations, and British standards
Access to appropriate transport when necessary to perform the duties of the post
