Our client is looking for a talented and compassionate Chef to join their high-quality luxury care home. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional with experience in healthcare, hospitality, or residential care settings, who is passionate about creating nutritious, well-balanced meals for older adults.

This warm and welcoming care home places a strong emphasis on quality, dignity, and well-being. The Chef will play a key role in enhancing the lives of residents through freshly prepared, tasty, and tailored meals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a care home, hospital, or similar catering environment

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)

  • First Aid Certificate (preferred)

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Catering or Food Preparation

  • Understanding of elderly nutrition, texture-modified diets, and allergen management

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards within a professional kitchen

What’s On Offer:

  • Competitive hourly pay with enhanced rates on bank holidays

  • Paid breaks during your shift

  • Access to the Blue Light Card for retail and leisure discounts

  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – 24/7 confidential support

  • A supportive team culture and opportunities to grow within the care sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for residents, tailored to their dietary and cultural needs

  • Plan seasonal menus, including meals for individuals with allergies, food intolerances, and special dietary requirements (e.g. soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals)

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including hygiene, food storage, and inventory control

  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health regulations at all times

  • Work closely with care and nursing staff to support residents' nutritional and hydration needs

  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff to deliver a consistent, high-quality food service

If you’re a caring and creative Chef who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of older people through food, this could be the perfect role for you.
