The Governing Body of Parc Lewis Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant (Level 4) who will cover PPA sessions across the school, Nursery to Year 6 and effectively implement interventions across the school.
This is an exciting professional development opportunity in a very positive working environment.
Governors are committed to appointing a higher-level teaching assistant whose role will involve:
• Planning, preparing and delivering high quality learning activities for pupils.
• Providing highly effective classroom behaviour management strategies.
• Monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
• Being highly organised, approachable, adaptable and have excellent communication skills.
• Have high levels of Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Having a sound understanding of Foundation learning principles and pedagogy and also Progression Steps 1-3.
• Have a commitment to helping every child reach their full progression potential and move children forward in their learning.
• Have a commitment to professional learning and developing own pedagogical practice.
• Working closely with line managers, external agencies, parents and the wider community providing pupil progress reports verbally and in writing as required.
The governors will provide effective support for the successful candidate who will demonstrate a strong commitment to work closely with them to provide the best possible education for children.
