Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Grill Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest quality, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input when appropriate.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Requirements:
Previous experience with handling a Grill section in a kitchen or restaurant environment is required (minimum 2 years).
Previous experience with Greek cuisine is desirable.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Hygiene Level 2 certification (or higher) required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
