Summary

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fitter to join our Rail team in Colchester.

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain and repair On-Track Machinery (OTMs) in line with company policy.

What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will:

  • Maintain OTMs as per company procedures and complete adhering to set timescales;
  • Be proficient in carrying out, as required, verbal and written reports on faults, repairs, maintenance, accidents and incidents;
  • Ensure reliability of OTMs is optimised post maintenance;
  • Ensure fault finding and subsequent repair is completed 'right first time'.

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • A served recognised apprenticeship;
  • PTS and DP;
  • Able to work to timescales/deadlines;
  • Awareness of Health & Safety;
  • Stores knowledge.
