Vehicle Technician
Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Basic Salary: Up to £33,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00, Saturdays rarely, only if needed

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Service Technician / Mechanic
• Deliver high standards of vehicle servicing and repairs with exceptional workmanship
• Repair and service all vehicles to meet or exceed manufacturer and company standards
• Ensure all paperwork for warranty, repairs, and servicing is accurate and detailed
• Provide outstanding customer service and support the dealership at all times
Skills and Qualifications for a Vehicle Service Technician / Mechanic
Essential:
• Level 3 Certification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair
• Experience working on JLR vehicles preferred
• Skills in restoration and mechanical repairs, including engines, gearboxes, and reassembly
• Inspect vehicles to identify faults and defects
• Use diagnostic software and equipment to analyse issues
• Select appropriate parts for repairs
• Fit and repair damaged or worn components
• Conduct road testing before and after repairs
• High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
