Summary
At See Saw we select our team not only by their professional qualifications but also by their passion and enthusiasm for educating young children. Staff bring different experiences, but we all share the same goal of delivering unique learning experiences to each child. We are looking to recruit a new team member who has a Level 2/3 childcare qualification, with more than 2 years experience of working in an early years setting. Candidates must be able to work as a member of our preschool team to ensure that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate must provide high standards of quality within the preschool including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children; observe, support and extend children's learning; plan appropriately for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance, work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members; demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion; ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand, and when necessary follow, Child Protection Procedures; ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met and that Food Safety Regulations are complied with and be a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families.

• Holds a DBS
• L 2/3 in a childcare qualification
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation
• A minimum of two years working in an early years setting for children aged 2yrs to 4yrs
• Knowledge of OFSTED standards and experience of inspections
• Achievement orientated with an ability to use own initiative
• Well-organized and works autonomously with minimal close supervision
• Thorough with strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• Proactive and innovative approach to challenges and ideas, problem solving qualities
• Flexible and receptive to change
• Willing to acquire new skills and undertake further training when necessary
• Enjoys working collaboratively as a member of a team
• Strong people skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
