Summary
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports
the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase
morale, productivity and performance.
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages to customers
• Take orders and serve customers
• Ensure knowledge on products served and appropriate garnishes
• Ensure all event spaces always clean and stock rotation is applied
• Responsible for cash handling and reporting any mistakes to your line
manager
• Responsible for card payments and associated procedures where required.
• Ensure the correct uniform is always worn
• Encourage safe and acceptable user behaviour (in terms of alcohol
consumption)
• Ensure that items of fixed and portable equipment are maintained to the
required standard of safety and cleanliness and are set out safely when
required.
• Update yourself regularly on all written procedures where relevant.
• Bring to the attention of the Event Manager or Supervisor any improvements
that might increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the facility.
• Ensure the facility cleaning programme is carried out to a high standard.
• Provide the required high level of customer care and ensure customers needs
met throughout event
• Provide table service when required
• Be responsible for the security of all monies and goods to deliver bar service
• Undergo correct bar training before commencing duties
• Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene is adhered to.
• Report any breakages of losses of goods for sale in your care
• Report any fraud or counterfeit goods you may handle during your tie at work.
• Be prepared to ask customers regarding our over 25’s policy and reporting
procedure
• Be aware of Health and Safety practices at work
• Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the continuous
improvement of Bught Park and High Life Highland as a whole.
• Attend and undertake any training online or in person.
• Aim to reduce wastage and uphold our environmental values of being as
sustainable as possible in all tasks.
• Assist and support other areas of High Life Highland with particular projects,
training or in the event of holidays or sickness working cross-functionally
across the Bught Park team.
• Work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
ensuring you are up to date with your rostered shifts and give advance notice
of any leave requests for consideration.
• Undertake all tasks in accordance with High Life Highland policies and
procedures, including General Data Protection Regulations, health and safety
procedures, relevant checks, reporting any concerns to management to ensure
corrective action is taken.
