Hours per week:
Days: 2- 3 Days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) or needs to be flexible depending on individuals needs
Hours: Between 4:00PM/4:30pm to 6:00pm/6:30pm) approx. 2 hours per day with possible 3 hours to go out during summer. Occasional flexibility may be appreciated for appointments or days when extra support is needed
No evening or weekend work required

Hourly pay rate: £15 per hour

A warm and supportive family in Polegate is seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to help a mum with mobility issues and provide light care support for her toddler. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a family setting, is confident around young children, and is happy to help with everyday tasks in a kind and practical way.

Duties include:
Housekeeping
Shopping
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship

Support for Mum:
Assisting with mobility around the home (e.g., standing, moving between rooms, getting in/out of chairs)
Preparation and cooking home cooked meals.
Providing companionship and emotional support

Childcare Support:
Supervising and playing with toddler in the home or garden
Assisting Mum and toddler to go out (if weather permits) safely out of the house and into local park or area.
Helping with outings (e.g., walks, playgroups, appointments)

Light Household Tasks:
Tidying up toys and common areas
Light cleaning (e.g., wiping surfaces, washing up, sweeping)
Laundry and folding clothes
Keeping the home environment safe and organised

Occasional Tasks:
Accompanying mum and toddler to local appointments, shops, or activities
Running grocery shopping if needed

Candidate qualities:

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

Proactive and Helpful: Willing to take initiative and lend a hand where needed

Punctual and Reliable: Shows up on time and can be counted on
Flexible: Open to adapting to the family’s needs, which may vary day-today

Additional requirements
Non-smoker due to medical reasons, Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
