Job Overview: The Strip and Clean Motor Parts Technician is responsible for dismantling, cleaning, and inspecting motor components to ensure they are in optimal working condition. This role requires attention to detail and an understanding of motor assembly and maintenance processes to effectively clean parts and prepare them for reassembly or reuse. Key Responsibilities:

    Disassembly:
    Carefully strip motor parts from engines or machinery, ensuring each component is identified and handled correctly.


    Cleaning and Degreasing:
    Use appropriate cleaning methods (manual or mechanical) to remove dirt, grease, carbon deposits, and any other contaminants from motor parts. This may include ultrasonic cleaning, pressure washing, or manual scrubbing.


    Inspection:
    Inspect each part for wear and damage, and report any issues found during the cleaning process to the supervisor or technician in charge.


    Record Keeping:
    Document each motor part stripped, cleaned, and inspected, including any parts that require repair or replacement.


    Organization and Storage:
    Ensure that all cleaned and stripped parts are properly organized, labeled, and stored for easy access during reassembly.


    Adherence to Safety Protocols:
    Follow all safety procedures while handling parts and using cleaning equipment to ensure a safe working environment.


    Quality Control:
    Maintain high-quality standards for cleanliness and ensure parts meet the company's specifications before reassembly.


    Required Skills and Qualifications:

      Experience:
      Previous experience in a similar role (motor/engine repair, mechanical maintenance, or automotive industry) is preferred.


      Mechanical Knowledge:
      A basic understanding of motor components and mechanical systems, including familiarity with tools used for disassembly and cleaning.


      Attention to Detail:
      The ability to identify and address minute issues during the inspection and cleaning process.


      Physical Stamina:
      Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy parts, as well as stand or work for long periods.


      Technical Skills:
      Familiarity with various cleaning methods (manual and machine-assisted) and understanding of tools and machinery commonly used in motor part cleaning.


      Safety Awareness:
      Knowledge of safety procedures when handling chemicals, machinery, and tools.


      Organizational Skills:
      Ability to keep work areas clean, organized, and efficiently manage time and parts.

      7:30 - 4:30pm

      Friday

      7:30 - 1:30

      This role would suit someone that has worked as a production op, part operative, motor part cleaner, assembly operative, mechancial operative.
