Hourly pay rate:
£14 per hour + an overnight rate to be discussed

Hi, we are looking for a pa to help care for my 28 year old son. He has autism and severe learning difficulties. He is non verbal and incontinent. He loves picture books, youtube and anything to do with space eg astronauts and shuttles. He also loves a walk to the shop to buy shopping and a magazine. He can be very challenging but rewarding. The post is based in a family home which he shares with his 2 brothers who are also his full time carers. We would love to find someone who can get stuck in and help take the pressure off.

Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Moving and handling
Housekeeping
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Personal care to include nappy changes

Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

Someone kind, cheerful with a good sense of humour who can be flexible and a teamplayer

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
