Job Title: Quslity and Production Assistant
Location: Alcester
Are you an experienced people manager with a passion for quality and production excellence? Ready to step into a pivotal role that bridges operations, leadership, and continuous improvement?
Join our dynamic team as a Supervisor (Quality & Production Assistant) and play a critical role in driving both quality assurance and efficient shop-floor supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to both the Quality Manager and Production Manager, this role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a broader production supervision role while supporting core quality functions. You'll be the crucial link between planning and execution, helping to ensure that workflow, labour, and materials are aligned with our EFACS system.
As the go-to person on the factory floor, you’ll monitor activities, highlight risks, support team development, and directly contribute to high-quality output. You’ll also take the lead on in-line inspections, supplier and internal NCR processing, and first article builds – making sure everything meets our standards and our customers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities-
Support ISIRs, PPAPs, and customer-specific quality requirements
-
Manage calibration of tools and equipment
-
Oversee internal and supplier NCRs, coordinate rework and replacements
-
Supervise and train the build team, monitor individual performance, and carry out 1:1 coaching
-
Organise new starter and agency training, and maintain performance records
-
Ensure materials and route cards are ready for scheduled production
-
Liaise with procurement and planning to preempt shortages or tooling issues
-
Support people management including motivation, basic conflict resolution, and workforce engagement
-
Be ready to step in on the build floor in the event of unexpected absences
What We’re Looking For-
Proven experience in team leadership or supervision, ideally in manufacturing
-
Background in quality assurance or familiarity with quality systems
-
Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems (ideally EFACS) and strong administrative accuracy
-
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
-
Confident, approachable, and respected by peers – a natural leader and team collaborator
-
Able to identify issues early and work proactively to find solutions
-
Trainable to a high skill level in all hose-building processes (or already experienced)
Why Join Us?-
A key, hands-on role in a growing and ambitious business
-
Opportunity to develop across both quality and production functions
-
Supportive leadership and development environment
-
Genuine influence on shop-floor performance and operational success
