Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Fryer/Supervisor to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of fried foods in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The Fryer/Supervisor role is a key role contributing to the success of Valerios. The Fryer/Supervisor will report directly to the Management Team. We work on a 4 weekly rota of 7 hour shifts. Shifts will vary from weekdays, weekend days, week nights and weekend nights. Hours are dayshift 8.30am-3.30pm and evening shifts 3.30pm-10.30pm. Duties

Prepare and cook a range of fried foods according to established recipes and standards using a high efficiency 5 pan range.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the shop, cleaning and maintaining equipment.
Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely service during busy periods to our 62 seater cafe, takeaway, home delivery service and collection orders.
Help manage inventory by tracking supplies and reporting any shortages.
Cash handling.
Supervise the counter staff on shift to ensure smooth running of the shift and ensuring all tasks are completed referring to all checklists and charts.
Delegating tasks to competent staff as and where required.
Deal with any issues that may arise on shift, customer complaints, supplier issues, staff issues etc. within your capabilities rather than being passed onto management.
Feeding any relevant information, issues etc. to management if required.
Opening and closing the shop, ensuring all checks are compete for closing securely overnight completing all final checklists.
Manual Handling


Minimum 1 years experience in a kitchen environment, fast food environment preferred but not essential.
Experience in a supervisory role essential including leading a team on shift, also having excellent customer service skills, operational efficiency and be a good communicator.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on frying techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Team player & able to help others when needed.
