Summary

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Nuclear Safety Assessor to strengthen their team.

Location: Cumbria/Warrington - flexible on location.

Nuclear Safety Assessor responsibilities:

• As a Nuclear Safety Assessor, you will work on safety projects throughout the UK, concentrating on preparing nuclear safety cases and related supporting documentation.
• Working under appropriate supervision from the Project Manager and/or clients to deliver fit-for-purpose safety documentation.
• Collaborating with engineering teams, plant operators, and specialist safety disciplines such as Human Factors, Fire, Criticality, Radiological Shielding, and Environmental to develop coherent and comprehensive safety cases.
• Creating a positive impression with clients, potential clients, and colleagues.

Nuclear Safety Assessor requirements:

• Possess at least two years’ experience in nuclear safety or other high-hazard industries.
• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Control/Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with strong listening abilities and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible in approach to ensure effective delivery.
