Summary
Personal Assistant required for a happy teenage boy who lives in Wadebridge.
He has Autism and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with gaining independence and life skills. He is interested in military, history and enjoys Lego.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community like walks on the beach and at the woods. He likes to visit museums.
Rate of pay £12.60 per hour, increasing after an initial period of three months.
Up to 7 hours per week are available, although this is very flexible.
Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Car driver with access to own vehicle essential.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
