Reaseheath College is a forward thinking and dynamic College providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. Our staff and students have access to leading edge facilities including an Equestrian Centre, competition arenas, solarium and equissage. In particular, our Equestrian Centre boasts of carefully designed modern yards, including American barn-style stabling, which accommodates over 60 horses.
About the role
The Equine Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Equine Centre, responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of both internal and external events, including dressage, show jumping, and showing competitions. These high-profile events are essential to the college’s commercial success and reputation, requiring close collaboration with yard staff and students to ensure seamless execution and professional standards.
Although the role does not include direct teaching responsibilities, the post holder will contribute to the educational experience by supporting student learning around equine event management. The Equine Events Coordinator will also provide line management to the Equine Events Assistant, supporting the broader strategic goals of the centre.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead the development of the full cost and commercial side of the equine unit further developing the riding club, shows and events.
• Manage the relevant resources ensuring that they efficiently and effectively meet all customers’ needs.
• Ensure high standards of customer care and satisfaction of commercial customers and students.
• Enhances the college’s reputation and raises the profile of the equestrian centre.
• Deal with customer queries effectively, courteously and promptly.
The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrable experience planning and delivering high quality, successful equestrian events.
• Customer service experience.
• Minimum Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent Equine Event industry experience.
• BHS Stage 3 coach qualification is desirable.
• Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
