Summary

Location: Thatcham, RG19
Salary: £13.50 - £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours

About the Role:

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Machinist to join a well-established company based in Thatcham. Specialising in precision manufacturing for the power station industry, this permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of stainless-steel products in a hands-on, varied environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and (ideally) program and set press brake machinery
  • Manufacture products including signage, cladding doors, and shrouds
  • Mainly working with Stainless steel
  • Quality checking own parts
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Working from engineering drawings

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with stainless steel in a fabrication or machining environment
  • Ability to program, set, and operate press brake machines (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Amada controls is ideal, but candidates with experience using Trumpf or other control systems will be considered
  • A team-oriented attitude with a proactive work ethics

Working Environment:

  • Workshop/fabrication shop environment
  • Day shifts only, with opportunities for overtime
