Location: Thatcham, RG19
Salary: £13.50 - £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
- Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
About the Role:
We're currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Machinist to join a well-established company based in Thatcham. Specialising in precision manufacturing for the power station industry, this permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of stainless-steel products in a hands-on, varied environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and (ideally) program and set press brake machinery
- Manufacture products including signage, cladding doors, and shrouds
- Mainly working with Stainless steel
- Quality checking own parts
- Use of hand and power tools
- Working from engineering drawings
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with stainless steel in a fabrication or machining environment
- Ability to program, set, and operate press brake machines (preferred)
- Familiarity with Amada controls is ideal, but candidates with experience using Trumpf or other control systems will be considered
- A team-oriented attitude with a proactive work ethics
Working Environment:
- Workshop/fabrication shop environment
- Day shifts only, with opportunities for overtime
