Working pattern: Wednesday 4 hours – 12:30-16:30
Every 4th Saturday – 8 hours

Rates of Pay: £13.50 PH

Location: Ackworth WF7

About the Job:

We are seeking a passionate and understanding support worker to provide 1:1 support to a gentleman with mental health needs and autistic traits. The gentleman lives in a residential setting in Ackworth. The ideal candidate will work closely with the individual, supporting their well-being, interests and goals both in the home and community settings.

You will be required to accompany and support the gentleman in participating in his chosen community-based activities. He enjoys riding his bike, swimming, bowling and has a passion for art.

Person Specification:

Driver with own vehicle and business insurance is essential to this role.
Ability to provide emotional support, understanding and patience in a 1:1 setting

Previous experience of mental health issues / autism desirable

Be punctual, reliable and flexible.

Establish a professional standard of care, which should be maintained at all times

Be prepared to undertake any training that may be required to meet the needs of the role

Ensure that due consideration is given to health and safety at all times

Respect privacy and uphold confidentiality at all times

Special Conditions:

A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references are conditional for the post. This is a free and confidential process.
