Summary

Job Description

Based at Fairmuir House, 365 Clepington Road, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, on a fixed term basis for 4 years.

The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 29.

Requirements

You will have 3 National 5s, including English, Maths or Application of Maths and one other relevant subject (for Example: Physics). Certification must be presented at interview. You will require to pass SECTT on line test, proof of pass must be presented at interview.

Responsibilities

You will be working under the direct instruction of a tradesperson, to develop the skills and knowledge for the chosen trade, whilst demonstrating an enthusiasm and willingness to achieve a high degree of competency. You will also undertake college studies and must complete the chosen development training programme.

The Individual

You will have the ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.

You will have good communication skills, be enthusiastic, have good time keeping and be able to attend college as part of apprenticeship.
