Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN High Needs Officer Band 3, Level 1 to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the high-quality assistance and resources they require to thrive in their educational journey. The successful candidate will work closely with schools, parents, and external agencies to facilitate tailored support plans that address the individual needs of students. You will play a crucial role in assessing needs, liaising between stakeholders, and monitoring progress to ensure that each child maximizes their potential. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive assessments of individual educational needs for students with special educational needs (SEN)
Develop and implement personalized support plans in collaboration with parents, teachers, and external professionals
Monitor and review students' progress, adjusting support strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
Liaise effectively with schools, parents, and external agencies to facilitate communication and cooperation
Conduct training sessions for school staff on best practices for supporting students with high needs
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings to discuss and plan for students' needs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress reports, and communications with stakeholders
Requirements
A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs, Education, Social Work, or related field
Experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational or support capacity
Strong understanding of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice and relevant legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and professionals
Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently as required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Day: £198.45
