Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed pharmacy technician to join our friendly and dedicated team of staff working in the aseptic unit at York.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake team leader duties which involve thesupervision & co-ordination of the daily workload. This will require exceptional organisational skills and the ability to direct and supervise staff. You will also need enhanced communication skills as the role involves communicating with both customers and suppliers to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Experience of working in an aseptic or manufacturing environment would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
The role will either be a band 4 or 5 depending on experience.
You will be registered with the GPhC (or in a position to do so) and must have prior experience of working in a hospital aseptic facility. Pre and In Process checking accreditation status is essential for the role; you should have this or be willing to working towards checking accreditationstatus.

• Co-ordination of day to day activities.
• Preparation of aseptically prepared products.
• Environmental monitoring.
• Dispensing of outsourced parenteral products.
• Undertaking pre-process checking of assembled trays.
• In-process checking during preparation.
• Accuracy checking of dispensed Ready to Administer (RtA) products.
• Generating worksheets for aseptically prepared products.
