Summary

Social Worker – Mid Cornwall
£25.38 per hour | Full Time | 3-Month Contract
37 hours/week (Mon–Fri)

We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care team in Mid Cornwall. This is a 3-month contract ideal for a confident practitioner looking to make an impact through high-quality, person-centred assessments and intervention.

About the Role:
Working under the direction of the Team Manager/Principal Social Worker, the successful candidate will:

Complete timely and effective needs assessments in line with the Care Act
Respond to safeguarding concerns and carry out mental capacity assessments
Deliver outcome-focused care planning, intervention and reviews
Promote independence and wellbeing through reablement and partnership working
Collaborate with individuals, carers, families, and multi-agency colleagues
Contribute to team learning and development, adhering to the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF)

Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in adult social care
- Skilled in managing complex caseloads and navigating risk
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and community services
- Confident in multidisciplinary environments and able to deliver difficult messages sensitively
- Full travel mobility required
