Wendreth Court is Glenholme Healthcare’s newly opened 54-bed care home located in March, Cambridgeshire. We offer high-quality residential, nursing, and dementia care, and we are now looking for a dedicated Site Maintenance Person to help ensure the home remains safe, well-maintained, and functional for both our residents and team.

Your Role as Site Maintenance Person
As a Maintenance Person at Glenholme, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the home, with responsibilities including:

Carrying out regular compliance checks such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, water testing, etc.

Performing general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, decorating, and carpentry

Maintaining the external appearance of the home, including landscaping and garden areas

Managing stock and ensuring maintenance and safety records are fully up to date

Working closely with the Estates Manager and Home Manager on ongoing and ad-hoc maintenance requirements

Providing occasional support to other Glenholme sites in the area

Being available on-call to deal with any out-of-hours maintenance emergencies

Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Based at Wendreth Court in March, with occasional travel to other sites for maintenance-related tasks

Flexibility required to support additional duties as needed

What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or building trades role (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry)

Strong practical skills and ability to carry out a wide range of repairs

A responsible and safety-conscious approach, with strong attention to detail

Good organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks

A full UK driving licence is essential

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or City & Guilds are highly desirable

Health and Safety training or certifications such as NEBOSH or CITB are an advantage
