About the role

Are you hands-on, detail-focused, and passionate about safety? Step into a crucial role that protects lives and buildings – we're hiring a Fire Door Operative to help us lead the way in compliance and quality.

The role of the Fire Door Operative will be to carry out a wide range of high-quality repairs to fire doors utilising a range of craft trade skills. As well as this, the post holder will be required to inspect the condition of fire doors in communal areas, as well as fire door of homes which access these areas, to diagnose faults and rectify them in a prompt and appropriate manner. To attend emergency calls and either complete a repair or take steps to temporarily make the building or building component safe and secure.

Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who:

Can carry out a wide range of high-quality repairs to fire doors utilising a range of craft trade skills. The range and skills required are described in the separate Trade Competencies Document attached.

To diagnose faults and rectify them in a prompt and appropriate manner.

To develop and maintain effective long term communication channels with a range of differing groups of people, including external agencies

Ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations and industry best practices

Work with a skilled, supportive team in a role that truly matters
