Summary


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly specialised physiotherapist to work as part of the spinal triage service within the pain management department at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will work closely with the MDT team to deliver expert assessment for complex spinal conditions providing diagnosis, treatment, management plans and onward referral. You will act as the single point of access for all spinal referrals and be solely responsible for patient’s spinal care under the governance of pain consultants.

The post may become Permanent at the end of this Fixed Term/Secondment.

The successful candidate will take a lead clinical role in the triage, assessment and treatment of patients with highly complex spinal presentations. They will organise and act upon appropriate clinical investigations and take responsibility for the changing management of patients.

They will contribute to the operational delivery of trust wide specialist spinal triage service through MDT, pathway development, audit, research and education. They will also contribute to the pain MDT clinics.

They will seek opportunities to develop the scope of service supporting strategic direction of YSTHFT.
