Summary
SIXTOWNS Distillery & Bar is looking to recruit a charismatic and customer-focused Tour Guide and Host to lead our distillery experiences and help create unforgettable visits for our guests.
Based at our venue at the World of Wedgwood, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging distillery tours, guiding guests through the history of SIXTOWNS gin, and supporting our hands-on spirit-making experiences. This is a public-facing role ideal for individuals who enjoy speaking to groups, providing first-class service, and working in a busy hospitality environment.
Training will be provided in our products, systems, and service style. Candidates must be confident, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to contribute across different parts of the business, including bar service and event support.
Main Duties:
• Delivering guided tours of the distillery and bar
• Hosting interactive spirit-making experiences (training provided)
• Greeting guests and managing arrivals with professionalism and warmth
• Using booking systems and check-in tools (computer literacy required)
• Supporting bar service and events as needed during quieter periods
• Maintaining clean and organised working and guest-facing areas
• Supporting wider operations during busy shifts or venue hires
Key Skills and Experience Required:
• Strong verbal communication skills and confident public speaking
• A friendly, engaging personality with a passion for hospitality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Basic computer literacy for managing bookings and guest systems
• Willingness to work flexibly across shifts, especially weekends
• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is desirable but not essential
• Reliable transport to the World of Wedgwood site (ST12 9ER) preferred
