Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Core Clinical Fellow in General Medicine to join our well established Medical team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate full completion of (2 years) Foundation Training programme. In addition, applicants must have at least year experience post Foundation Training programme in order to apply for this position.
Full GMC registration, with a licence to practice, at time of application is essential.
The post will be based at our Wexham Park Hospital site, which is a modern District General Hospital within easy access of London. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake duties at our other sites at Heatherwood and any other sites as requested.
These posts are advertised as a junior posts to support the Registrars and Consultants within the Medicine Division. The successful candidates will be expected to rotate within other sub-specialties.
This post is offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the Junior Medical on-call rota.
Note:
There is No Banding supplement for this role. For the unsocial hours that you work, you will be paid according to the rota and the generic Work Schedule.

Wexham Park Hospital has approximately 600 beds with a full range of services including general medicine and its sub-specialities, paediatrics, general surgery, vascular surgery, urology, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, otolaryngology, oral surgery and a sub-regional plastic surgery unit which has an extensive catchment area.
There is a state of the art Emergency Assessment Centre, which comprises a 34 bed medical short stay unit, 16 bed surgical short stay unit, 34 bed acute assessment unit, a 20 patient treatment & consultation area ambulatory care unit as well as a new large Emergency Department.
The theatre complex has 9 theatres plus two obstetric theatres and a 12 bedded combined Critical ITU/HDU. The Trust delivers primary angioplasty on both the Wexham and Frimley sites supported by a 14 bedded Coronary Care Unit. There is also an excellent rehabilitation department, a centralised laboratory, and diagnostic imaging including a new spiral CT scanner and the MRI scanner suite on the site.
It is desirable that applicants have started to attain their Parts 1 and/or 2 MRCP qualification or PACES. But this is not essential.
Wexham Park Hospital has an excellent postgraduate Medical Education Centre with a well-stocked library including on-line search facilities. Successful candidates will have every opportunity to be trained and to further develop themselves with the full support of medical education facilities and Consultants.
