Summary

Yate Town Council are looking for an Estates Cleaner

To keep Yate Town Council parks, buildings, open spaces and streets in Yate clean and in good condition and carry out other relevant operations to an acceptable standard.

MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

a) To carry out a wide range of cleaning tasks in accordance with the schedule/programme.

b) To pick up litter, empty litter and dog bins, collect leaf fall and dog faeces and dispose of waste in an effective, safe and prescribed manner.

c) To clean Town Council bus shelters.

d) To clean Town Council buildings and toilets as required.
e) To clean off graffiti from Town Council sites and when required public property.

f) To keep Town Council Car Parks, clear of debris i.e. litter, leaves etc.

g) To notify the Estates Manager or Supervisor of any faults or vandalism to any street work, furniture or equipment immediately after they are discovered.

h) To report any unauthorised activities to the Town Council Office or Police, as appropriate.

i) To attend appropriate training courses as instructed by the Town Council.

j) To ensure the security of all buildings, including acting as relief caretaker when required.

k) To assist with upkeep of council vehicles and to complete vehicle mileage sheets and worksheets as required.

l) To undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed.
