We are looking for a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to join a Year 4 team at a wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a key stage where children develop independence, confidence, and more advanced learning skills. Beginning May 2025.
Duties as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost progress
Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays
Foster positive relationships with pupils and help promote a calm, focused learning environment
Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs
Assist in preparing materials and supporting learning across the curriculum, especially in English and Maths
Ideal Year 4 Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children, ideally in a Key Stage 2 setting
A caring, positive, and patient attitude
Good literacy and numeracy skills as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
A commitment to supporting pupils of all abilities and backgrounds
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable
