Shifts: Mix of days and nights included in shifts
Days - 8:00 am - 8:30 pm / - Nights - 8:00 pm - 8:30 am - Weekend work included.

Job Description

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.

It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Not only is full training provided, but there are numerous career pathways available to you.

Responsibilities

Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
Empathy, understanding and patience
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
Competent in verbal and written English
A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK.



Additional Information

Riverbank is located in Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The service offers residential support for 24 people with mental health needs. We are located off a main road leading to the city centre and within walking distance of a beautiful park. Our team are dedicated to supporting residents to live independently in the community, increasing their quality of life. Riverbank offers a step down service from hospital or locked rehabilitation units and also supports people who may require a step up from the community.

Disclosure

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
