Summary
For full details, please see job description. Communication: To liaise as necessary with all referring agents, patients, and family members/next of kin, internal and external stakeholders. Analytical and judgemental: To assist with data collection and analysis as necessary and when required. Planning and organisational Skills To be involved with data collection and stock control within the Department. To be involved with training projects within the department. Organising clinical and non-clinical services for CPD and ongoing mandatory training. Clinical Duties: To work independently in a community setting usually involving all aspects of aural rehabilitation. To provide autonomous specialist evaluation and treatment for patients suffering from tinnitus and Hyperacusis. To manage patient treatment and ongoing care To manage diagnostic assessments To carry out independently pure tone Audiometry, admittance, and acoustic reflex testing in support of ENT Outpatient and other hospital or community-based clinics. To carry out more complex audiometric investigations for patients with specialist needs such as one-sided deafness and sever to profound hearing loss. To carry out all aspects of routine and complex hearing aid fittings and follow up, including the decision to provide CROS or non-standard hearing systems, using real ear measurement systems, giving advice on environmental aids and counselling where indicated.
