P6 Planner

£50k - £60k

Dartford

We are Innovative
That’s why we need people like you to help us. People who enjoy finding new ways to do things!

We're currently looking for a skilled P6 Planner to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support a range of energy projects — from substation schemes to cable route developments — across the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to handover.

Here is a snapshot of some of the activities you will be involved in...

  • Develop and maintain high-quality project schedules/programmes across all phases — from pre-construction to handover
  • Produce tender programmes that offer efficient and effective delivery solutions
  • Submit and update programmes and reports in line with business and contractual deadlines
  • Attend site as required to support planning and project delivery teams
  • Create and manage change event programmes, analysing impacts to critical and non-critical paths
  • Cost- and resource-load programmes to support earned value reporting and dashboard tracking
  • Manage subcontractor schedules, providing feedback to improve delivery performance
  • Support the development of junior planners within the team
  • Generate and maintain dashboards, trackers, reports, and summary charts for performance and presentation purposes
  • Facilitate regular planning meetings with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners
  • Liaise closely with design, consents, commercial, estimating, project teams, and external stakeholders

We would love to hear from you if...

You are motivated and detail-oriented with a methodical, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving. You should possess excellent organisational skills and consistently strive to complete work to a high standard, getting things right first time and in line with project protocols.

Ideally, you’ll have hands-on experience in supporting or delivering projects through the pre-construction, construction, and handover stages — particularly those involving Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). A strong understanding of NEC contracts will be highly advantageous.

You should be proficient in Primavera P6 to an advanced level, particularly in developing programmes that are resource and cost loaded. Experience with Microsoft Project, including cost and resource loading, is also desirable.

An understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRWSA) regulations would be beneficial. Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to travel between project sites as required, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
