Salary: £180 - £200 (Depending on experience)
Teacher Active is proud to be working with schools in Hereford that support vulnerable children that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs ranging from Anxiety and trauma to challenging behaviour. The schools caters to students with needs such as disruptive behaviour, ADHD and Autism.

As a SEMH Maths Teacher you will be working with students, which may include outdoor activities and many ways of teaching and supporting children. As well as being a key figure in their lives, our teachers always look for fun and unique ways to be engaging in the classroom!
The schools we work with are looking for a SEMH Teacher that can fill day to day, short term, and long term placements. They provide an abundance of experience, which can allow you to grow as a teacher while being paid at market leading rates. We have experienced and dedicated SEND Consultants choosing placements that suit your availability, preference and skills.
The right Maths Teacher / SEMH Teacher will have the following:
• Qualified Teacher Status/QTS, 6 months previous experience in teaching Maths.
• A calming and caring persona
• Flexible and able to cover classes last minute to cover for staff sickness or training
• Lessons will often be pre-planned, however, ideally capable of planning your own lesson activities and resources
• Adapting tasks to meet the needs of individual children
• Effective behaviour management skills
• Effective communication with members of internal staff
