About the Role:

As the Director of Academic Studies, you will provide strong, effective leadership in delivering high-quality learning programmes. You will manage and lead the development and improvement of our A Level, GCSE, and cross-college English and Maths programmes. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our curriculum meets strategic goals and KPIs, and you will be responsible for student recruitment, retention, achievement, and value-added targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Leadership and Management: Develop and deliver effective curriculum plans for A Levels, Academic Progression and Year 11 home-schooled learners.
• Quality Improvement : Lead the improvement of curriculum outcomes through quality cycle processes and performance reviews.
• Staff Development: Ensure staff training and development are current, promoting the use of digital technology and AI to enhance pedagogy.
• Collaborative Working: Work effectively across senior management teams and curriculum areas to improve student outcomes and support positive progression.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant first degree and professional qualification.
• Teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
• Evidence of continued professional development and contribution to curriculum development.
• Proven leadership and management experience in a substantial curriculum area.
