Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in a primary school before moving into teaching, child psychology, or social care?

A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is looking to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team either immediately or from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning, emotional well-being, and classroom engagement—while gaining invaluable experience in a supportive educational setting.

The Role:
  • Full-time, long-term position

  • Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

  • Provide assistance on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and in class settings

  • Help pupils build confidence, develop literacy and numeracy skills, and feel fully supported in school life

  • Work closely with class teachers and SEN professionals to deliver inclusive, child-centred support

  • Develop your understanding of safeguarding, SEND and classroom management

    What We’re Looking For:
    • A recent graduate in Education Studies, Psychology, or Health & Social Care

    • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

    • Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills

    • Previous experience with children is beneficial, but not essential

      What’s on Offer:
      • Competitive weekly pay – up to £520

      • Excellent experience ahead of teacher training or further study

      • Opportunity to work in a forward-thinking school with a strong pastoral ethos

      • Convenient Stoke-on-Trent location with good transport links

If you're ready to make a difference in the classroom and gain the experience needed to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
