Cleaner, Caretaker and Catering Assistant
Salary: £12.60 - £13.05 per hour + 10% recruitment payment *

Hours: Up to 26 hours per week
Location: Crayke Primary School, Easingwold
North Yorkshire Council is currently recruiting for several key positions in Crayke School that help keep the school clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff. Whether your strengths lie in cleaning, caretaking, or catering, we have a role that could be perfect for you.

The Role
As part of our facilities and catering team, you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Your responsibilities may include:
Cleaning duties such as dusting and vacuuming and generally helping maintain a high level of hygiene across the site.
Opening and securing the site, including setting alarms
Supporting food preparation, serving meals, and cleaning the dining area
Flexible part-time hours available:
Cleaning: 4:00 PM – 6:15 PM (11 hours per week)
Caretaking: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM + evening lock-up (7.5 hours per week)
Catering: Hours vary depending on school needs (7.5 hours per week- term time only)
Full uniform and safety footwear will be provided, along with full training

*The basic hourly rate for these posts is £12.60 - £13.05, for the right candidate a recruitment welcome payment of up to 10% of the starting salary may be payable as a one-off welcome payment.
