Summary
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based in Sandycroft, Flintshire. The successful candidate will earn £15.50 to £22.50 per hour, dependent on qualifications, training and experience.
Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required (Mon-Thu 7am to 4pm, Fri 7am to 1.30pm).
Working on a compressed and liquefied gas production facility, you will report to the engineering manager. The role will involve supporting several departments including cylinder filling, cylinder servicing and cylinder refurbishment.
Role Requirements
• Experience of maintenance in a production/manufacturing environment.
• MIG/MMA welding experience required, TIG welding experience beneficial, but not essential.
• Experience with both screwed and welded pipework.
• FLT licence advantageous, but not essential, training provided as required.
• Conscientious person who takes pride in their work.
• Ability to work well within a team as well as individually.
• Good level of fitness, with ability to lift loads of 25kg.
• Good communication skills.
• Good numeracy skills.
• GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
Role Responsibilities
• Servicing and Maintenance of production equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves and associated equipment.
• Fault finding of process equipment.
• Supporting production with breakdowns and process improvements
• Support subcontractors with statutory inspections.
• Pipework fabrication.
• Installation of new plant.
• Working to maintenance schedule.
• Good housekeeping/Cleaning of work area
• And any other duties required by the business
