We have a fantastic Registered Care Manager (RCM) opportunity within our service in Exeter.

This is a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week. We are offering a Registered Care Manager, £38,895 per annum. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the management team who enjoys a fast-paced environment.

As a Registered Care Manager, you will be managing a large staff team of the Deputy Manager, Team Leaders and Support Workers.

There are 2 flats in 1 building located in Exeter City Centre, Flat 1 and Flat 2. There are 4 residents in each flat, all are adults with a Learning Disability and a single or dual sensory impairment.

This opportunity has become available due to the promotion of the services RCM. This role is ideal for any potential applicants looking for a new and exciting diverse RCM role and develop their career further. Sense offers a wide range of support to enable you to progress in the future. Ideally the successful candidate would be able to join us in July 2025 so they can have a handover with the current RCM but an August 2025 start date is also acceptable with a full induction provider by the Operations Manager.

Sense supports 8 adults with a single or dual sensory impairment; all have a Learning Disability with two individuals have significant physical disabilities. They are looking for a Registered Manager to support them and their staff team with opportunities to gain real life experiences. The people we support at Andlaw House enjoy developing new skills and increasing their independence. They have friendships and relationships outside of the service and a wide range of interests. Most are members of clubs and groups such as attending Exeter City Football games, going to the gym and taking part in sensory tennis, athletics, theatre, and holidays. Locally there is Exeter Quay with some fabulous graffiti art trails, nature walks and opportunities to access a variety of entertainment.

The successful candidate will continue to facilitate them being active members in their local community. Within the RCM role you will be listening to what people we support want, coaching the team and ensuring Sense continues to support them to reach their goals and aspirations. It is essential that you maintain the existing positive relationships the service has with families, circles of support and multi-disciplinary teams. This will be your opportunity to build a strong staff team embedding person centred support to achieve the best outcomes not only for our primary focus, the people we support but the team as a whole.

The role of RCM at Andlaw House will be rewarding and present challenges, however the diversity of the service will build skill, knowledge and experience for any manager and provide a wealth learning, variety and job satisfaction.

To support individuals/groups within their home and community reach their full potential.
To provide a customised, responsive, and high-quality service to people with sensory impairments and learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Your required skills and experiences:
Right to work in the UK
Good knowledge of legislation underpinning Health and Social care
Good knowledge of CQC
Knowledge of residential and supported living services, willing to learn
Knowledge of person-centred support, how to deliver for outstanding support
