We have a new opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our MedicinesComplete Sales Team to achieve sales targets by growing sustainable digital in UK and rest-of-world (ROW) markets.

Responsible for driving performance across the team to achieve New Business, Retention and Attrition targets, you will manage the activities of the UK and ROW teams and manage personally the key accounts (typically those where the level of complexity and value is high).

The Sales Manager is a role model for the team maximising renewal and up-sell opportunities, identifying prospective new clients, presenting, pitching and negotiating new business wins.

Requirements:

Excellent motivation, sales and leadership capabilities.
Graduate calibre with strong, demonstrable sales experience, ideally gained in an STM publishing or digital sales environment.
Previous management experience (over minimum 5+ staff).
Consultative selling experience – with strong client facing skills and demonstrable experience of pitching business solutions to senior decision-makers.
Ability to work under pressure to specific deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills (including negotiation at all levels).
Ability to understand and work with complex business models.
Attention to detail and analytical skills.
A good understanding CRM and the importance of database management.
Knowledge and/or experience of working in the UK healthcare/pharmaceutical industry and/or selling into the academic sector is desirable.

How we are currently working

We work in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office.
