Summary
We’re looking for someone who likes being outdoors and wants to help families make the most of their day out at Anglesey Abbey. Your role is all about giving people a warm welcome, supporting outdoor games and activities, and helping run our busy summer holiday programming. Whether it’s helping with building sandcastles or supporting other active outdoor activities, you’ll play a key part in making sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Provisional start date: 14th July 2025
What it's like to work here
You’ll be part of a small, dynamic programming team, contributing to an ambitious summer programme attracting over 50,000 visitors during the school summer holidays. Reporting to the Experience & Visitor Programming Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging, high-quality experiences for visitors to Anglesey Abbey. You’ll help bring the property to life for a diverse audience, ensuring a memorable and inspiring visit for all.
This Jacobean-style house with its colourful gardens is one of our largest properties welcoming over 400k vistiors in 2024. Many roles at Anglesey Abbey are customer facing, with all the teams working hard to maintain the superb standards of service. This is an opportunity to make a real difference within an ever-evolving environment where your ideas and input will be valued.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll be overseeing the outdoor event areas, ensuring everything is well presented and maintained, and support families with activities and workshops to enrich the visitor experience across the 6-week Summer of Play programme. You’ll have good knowledge of all the activities taking place and help get visitors involved.
Your job is all about creating the best possible experience for everyone. You’ll chat to people to understand their needs and offer relevant advice, while also keeping an eye on safety and maintenance. It’s in your hands to help as many people as possible to enjoy their time at Summer of Play.
