Capital Recruitment are hiring experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for a well-established company based in Bicester, specializing in delivering fresh produce to business customers. This HGV Class 2 driver position is a temp to perm role that offers competitive pay and excellent working conditions.
Job Overview:
Pay: £18.00 - £21.29 per hour
Shift Start Time: 04:00 - 06:00 AM
Working Days: 5 days out of 6
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Physical Requirements: Includes handballing and manual tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough vehicle checks before the start of each shift, ensuring your HGV Class 2 vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
Review your delivery route and ensure you have all required keys, PODs, and delivery guides for the HGV Class 2 deliveries.
Verify and manage PODs for all scheduled HGV Class 2 deliveries to ensure accurate documentation.
Ensure legal compliance with all regulations before starting your shift.
Deliver goods accurately to designated areas, such as fridges and freezers, at customer premises.
Handle all products with care, ensuring safe and secure deliveries.
Report any delivery issues to the transport office immediately.
Use the provided delivery software to track deliveries and capture photographic evidence.
Perform end-of-day checks, including vehicle refuelling and cleaning of the HGV Class 2.
Return all equipment (PODs, keys, devices) and complete necessary paperwork.
Download digital tachograph card and ensure all dispatch documentation is accurate and up to date.

Ensure the HGV Class 2 vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with all legal standards.
Maintain accuracy and security during the delivery process.
Follow Safe Loading practices and adhere to strict Health & Safety regulations.
